We’re hiring an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist for an assisted living facility in Milwaukee, WI where you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
  • Current Wisconsin state license in good standing as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
  • Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
  • Minimum one year experience as an RRT providing direct patient respiratory care.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Experience with mechanical ventilators, non-invasive ventilation, oxygen delivery systems, aerosol/nebulizer devices, suctioning, and tracheostomy care.
  • Ability to perform arterial puncture and interpret oximetry and capnography data according to policy.
  • Experience performing 12-lead EKG and basic arrhythmia recognition.
  • Experience performing pulmonary function testing (e.g., NIF, VC) and routine review of chest x-rays relevant to respiratory care.
  • Ability to assist with procedures involving bronchoscopy, chest tubes, and percutaneous tracheostomies as required by policy.
  • Competence in mechanical ventilator set-up, self-test, monitoring, and maintenance across various ventilator platforms.
  • Ability to document treatments and patient response accurately in clinical records and communicate with attending clinicians and pulmonologists.
  • Must be able to float within the Milwaukee metropolitan area, including West Allis, as needed.
  • Preferred: ACLS certification and prior experience working in post-acute or assisted living/skilled nursing environments.
