We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local healthcare provider where you’ll be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
  • Current Michigan state license in good standing as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
  • One year of experience as an RRT required; experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Competence with mechanical ventilators, non-invasive ventilation, oxygen delivery systems, aerosol/nebulizer devices, and bedside monitoring (oximetry and capnography).
  • Experience performing arterial blood gas sampling and interpretation, 12-lead EKG, basic arrhythmia recognition, tracheostomy care, suctioning (oropharyngeal, nasal, tracheal), and chest physiotherapy.
  • Ability to assist with procedures such as bronchoscopy, chest tube management, and endotracheal intubation (including use of video laryngoscope) as required by facility policy.
  • Familiarity with ventilator setup, self-test procedures, and ongoing ventilator management.
  • Ability to perform CPR according to BLS and ACLS guidelines.
  • Documentation skills for respiratory therapy records, charging, and electronic charting.
  • Preferred: ACLS certification and prior experience working in moderate complexity hospital laboratories or critical care units.
