Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: RRT Specialty: Respiratory Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Current State License Certifications: Current RRT credential Current BLS & ACLS Must-Have: ICU Experience Description: The unit has a total of 430 beds. There are 25 staff members in the department. The typical staff structure includes day and night shifts. Patient ratios for normal floor assignments involve 20-25 treatments per round. The equipment utilized includes oxygen, BIPAP/CPAP, ventilators, nebulizers, and blood gas machines. The electronic medical record system in use is Meditech. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment. Typical procedures performed on the unit include nebulizer treatments, BIPAP/CPAP management, ventilator support, and arterial blood gas analysis. This role requires rotating weekends and call, typically one 24-hour shift every 5-6 weeks. Scrub attire is navy blue.
