Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) | West Jordan, UT | 13 Weeks Contract

Job Details

  • Contract Length: 13 Weeks
  • Shift: Night Shift
  • Schedule: 3×12
  • Experience Required: 2 Years
  • Weekly Pay:$1750 to $1950
Responsibilities
  • Assess, evaluate, and treat patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary disorders
  • Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, nebulizer treatments, and other prescribed respiratory therapies
  • Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and other respiratory support equipment
  • Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) collection and assist with interpretation
  • Monitor patient response to respiratory treatments and adjust interventions as appropriate
  • Assist physicians during emergency airway management, intubations, rapid responses, and code situations
  • Perform pulmonary hygiene procedures, airway clearance therapies, and patient assessments
  • Educate patients and families regarding respiratory conditions, medications, breathing techniques, and home respiratory equipment
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care
  • Follow infection prevention guidelines, patient safety standards, and departmental policies
Requirements
  • Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through the NBRC
  • Active Utah Respiratory Care License (or eligibility, as required)
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Respiratory Therapy experience
  • Current BLS Certification required
  • ACLS and PALS certifications preferred or required by facility
  • Strong knowledge of ventilator management, emergency respiratory care, and cardiopulmonary assessment
  • Experience caring for adult critical care patients in an acute care setting
  • Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
  • Excellent communication, assessment, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced night shift environment
