Position: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location: West Jordan
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift
Schedule: 3×12
Experience Required: 2 Years
Weekly Pay:$1750 to $1950
Responsibilities
Assess, evaluate, and treat patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary disorders
Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, nebulizer treatments, and other prescribed respiratory therapies
Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and other respiratory support equipment
Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) collection and assist with interpretation
Monitor patient response to respiratory treatments and adjust interventions as appropriate
Assist physicians during emergency airway management, intubations, rapid responses, and code situations
Perform pulmonary hygiene procedures, airway clearance therapies, and patient assessments
Educate patients and families regarding respiratory conditions, medications, breathing techniques, and home respiratory equipment
Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care
Follow infection prevention guidelines, patient safety standards, and departmental policies
Requirements
Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through the NBRC
Active Utah Respiratory Care License (or eligibility, as required)
Minimum 2 years of recent Respiratory Therapy experience
Current BLS Certification required
ACLS and PALS certifications preferred or required by facility
Strong knowledge of ventilator management, emergency respiratory care, and cardiopulmonary assessment
Experience caring for adult critical care patients in an acute care setting
Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
Excellent communication, assessment, and critical thinking skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced night shift environment
