Job Title: Respiratory Therapist - NICU Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT-NICU Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years of RRT experience required License: RRT or CRT License required, MD License required in hand Certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE Must-Have: - Special care nursery and women's and infants experience highly preferred - Adult critical care and ED experience required - First-time travelers accepted - Weekend coverage: 4 weekend shifts per 6 weeks required - Scrubs color: Royal blue Description: RRT position in the NICU. Special care nursery and women's and infants experience highly preferred. RRT or CRT license required. MD license required in hand. BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications needed. ASAP start date available for a 8-week contract. Orientation hours: 28. Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower rate. 2 years of RRT experience required. Must have adult critical care and ED experience. Weekend shifts: 4 four weekend shifts every 6 weeks required. Candidate must possess skills in adult critical care. Experience with aerosol setup for mask and tracheostomy. Expertise in drawing arterial blood gases. Knowledge of BiPAP and CPAP therapy. Skills in interpreting arterial blood gases. Experience in tracheostomy care and management. Ability to troubleshoot high-pressure alarms and wean from mechanical ventilation. No RTO is permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment. No more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract allowed. Candidates must meet all compliance and clinical review requirements.
