Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: RRT or minimum of CRTT (CRT must have critical care skills/experience along with 5 years or greater experience as a therapist) Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Required skills include ABG interpretation, CPAP/Nasal CPAP/BiPAP, flow-by, troubleshooting high-pressure alarms, weaning from mechanical ventilation, trach collar, high flow nasal cannula, and airway management. Description: Minimum experience required is 2 years. First-time travelers are accepted. The patient population includes neonates, adults, and geriatrics. General skills and work setting requirements involve various respiratory therapy practices. The ratio and census are not specified. Knowledge of Epic is required. The scrub color is pewter gray. Time off requests are limited to a maximum of 7 days. Blackout dates for time off coincide with spring break from April 4th to April 12th. Holidays worked include one major holiday, expected from the traveler. If two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both. If three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day. Full compliance is required to start on time. If not compliant in time, the push back may be 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule. Local candidates are accepted at the same rate. The flu vaccine is required, with exemptions only for medical or religious reasons. All time off must be finalized at the time of submission. No RTO or schedule requests can be made post-offer or onsite. Modules are non-billable and hours are factored in for training. Modules will be completed during orientation and will vary by specialty. Modules will be recorded via transcripts.
