Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years License: Active RRT Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Proficiency in Adult Critical Care Work settings - Experience with Extubation, Nasal airway placements, suctioning, and oral airway placement - Knowledge of pulmonary hygiene and sputum specimen collection - Expertise in tracheostomy care - Experience administering various medications through aerosol systems - Familiarity with high flow nasal cannula and trach collar oxygen therapy - Skilled in BiPAP, CPAP, troubleshooting high pressure alarms, and weaning from mechanical ventilation - Trauma Level 1 experience Description: This position is for a Respiratory Therapist specializing in adult and geriatric care. Candidates must have a minimum of two years of experience in the field. Weekend work is required every other weekend, with potential changes as needed. Staff may float to other units or campuses based on facility needs. A good understanding of patient care for adults and geriatrics is essential. Experience in charting using EPIC is required. Successful candidates will demonstrate proficiency in administering respiratory treatments and airway management. Candidates should also have experience with ventilatoria modalities and trauma care. All skills and competencies must be well documented for the tasks performed.
