Job Title: Respiratory Therapist - NICU Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT-NICU Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS, RRT Must-Have: - Proficient in critical care of neonates, including intubation for gestational ages greater than 22 weeks - Able to obtain arterial blood samples - Experience assisting in high-risk, low-volume bedside procedures - Adult critical care skills, including intubation, airway management, and arterial line insertion Description: Primary role in a Level 3 NICU. Must be proficient and able to function independently in the critical care of neonates. Responsibilities include intubation as needed and obtaining arterial blood samples. Candidates should have the ability to assist in high-risk, low-volume bedside procedures. Must also possess adult critical care skills including intubation, airway management, and arterial line insertion. Floating may be required within the facility scope of practice as needed. If one major holiday falls during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both holidays. If three major holidays fall during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays. Compliance is required to start the assignment on time, and all onboarding documents must be finalized. Clinical screening will be conducted to determine the candidate's fit. Candidates will be reviewed based on clinical qualifications. Travel experience is preferred, and familiarity with electronic health records is required. Skills in various respiratory care techniques and emergency procedures are essential.
