Travel Respiratory Therapist

Location: 1000 Johnson Ferry Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30342
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 3×12-Hour Day Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM), 36 Hours/Week
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
Local Policy: No local candidates within 50 miles

Position Summary

Seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have recent experience providing respiratory care in an acute care setting and be proficient in the assessment, treatment, and management of patients with cardiopulmonary disorders.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Respiratory Therapist experience
• Active Georgia Respiratory Care License (RRT)
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification through NBRC
• Current AHA BLS
• Current AHA ACLS
• Current AHA PALS

Responsibilities

• Assess, treat, and monitor patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions.
• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and other respiratory treatments.
• Manage and monitor mechanical ventilators and airway support devices.
• Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and interpret results.
• Respond to emergency situations, including code blue and rapid response events.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement respiratory care plans.
• Accurately document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes.

Holiday Requirement

Northside holiday expectations require travelers to work:

• 2 of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day
• 1 of the 3 minor holidays: Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve
