Job Opportunity – Registered Respiratory Therapist – Santa Rosa, CA 95405

Start Date: August 24, 2026

Location: Santa Rosa, California

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (06:30 - 19:00), full-time. Weekend coverage required. Must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year). 40 hours of orientation provided.

Highlights:
  • 13-week travel assignment at a regional trauma center caring for diverse patient populations including adults, pediatrics, geriatrics, infants, and adolescents
  • Work autonomously using respiratory care protocols to evaluate, assess, and treat patients requiring strong critical thinking skills
  • Access to advanced respiratory equipment including Drager V800 ventilators, V60 BiPAP, Vapotherm, IPV and Cough Assist, and Ambu bronchoscopy scopes
  • Collaborative interdisciplinary environment with support from pharmacy, radiology, physical therapy, rapid response teams, and other specialized services
  • Opportunity to work in a comprehensive care setting managing complex diagnoses including ARDS, pneumonia, bronchoscopy procedures, and critical care ventilation
  • Float opportunities to affiliate facilities may be required
Requirements:
  • Valid California Respiratory Therapist license (must be in hand prior to submission)
  • Current certifications: RRT, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
  • Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience required
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Community hospital experience required
  • Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
  • Proficiency in adult critical care, mechanical ventilation, high flow nasal cannula, BiPAP/CPAP, arterial blood gas interpretation, intubation assistance, and airway management
  • Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
  • Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
