Job Title: RRT Pediatrics Profession: Respiratory Therapy Specialty: RRT Pediatrics Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of experience required. First-time travelers with strong pediatric and NICU-focused skillset/experience may be accepted. License: Must have an active state license at time of submission. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS, RRT Must-Have: Strong PICU/NICU experience. Competence in caring for adult patients. Experience with all age groups is required. Description: Provide respiratory therapy to patients across a mixed patient population, including neonates and adults. Work in critical care and support environments, including NICU, pediatrics, ER, and trauma units. Care for an average daily census of 6-7 ventilated patients. Participate in procedures related to critical care respiratory therapy. Utilize special equipment such as Maquet Servo i and Draeger V500. Administer treatments including BiPAP, CPAP, and high-frequency jet ventilation. Assist in intubation, extubation, and management of tracheostomy patients. Conduct capillary blood gas tests and emergency interventions. Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to enhance patient care. Be prepared to float between units as required, maintaining competency across settings. Obtain patient demographics and history to assess respiratory needs. Adhere to protocols and standards for respiratory care. Participate in continuous learning and professional development to improve skills. Comply with all organizational policies and procedures.
