Description

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory Therapist Specialty: Respiratory Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Certification, COVID Vaccine Required, CRT, RRT Must-Have: Critical Care experience Mechanical ventilation skills Ability to draw and analyze ABGs from arterial lines and punctures Experience assisting with intubations Description: COVID vaccine is required. The department averages 5-6 treatments per day. Preferred certifications include RRT, but CRT will be reviewed. Types of patients include adults only. Coverage areas include inpatient and emergency department. Required to assist with intubations, but not required to intubate independently. The Respiratory Manager is present, but there is no supervisor. Each shift has lead therapists who take on workloads. Shifts are scheduled for nights from 1800 to 0630. Every other weekend commitment is required. Holiday requirements may apply. There is no on-call or standby call requirement. No specific scrub color or dress code is mandated. The equipment used includes 840/980 ventilators, V60, and Vapotherm. Clientist or intensivist are available in-house. Department-specific orientation is provided. The hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment. Charting is done using an EPIC system. A BSN is not required. A license is needed to apply. Trauma level is not specified. The care setting is acute. Division is allied. This position requires night shifts and every other weekend commitment.
