Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: RRT Specialty: Respiratory Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 18:00 - 06:30 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: WA RT license required Certifications: ACLS & BLS certifications required Must-Have: Must have NBRC RRT or CRT certification. Certifications must be attached to the submission. Description: The Respiratory Therapist is either registered or certified by the National Board of Respiratory Care to provide Cardiopulmonary Services. The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for following protocols approved by the medical staff and department policy and procedures. This role provides timely diagnostic and therapeutic services to both inpatients and outpatients. Responsibilities include assisting physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures. Delivery of medicated aerosols via medical compressed gas is required. Maintaining airways and ventilator management are key duties. The role includes the insertion of arterial lines and intubations. Conducting pulmonary function studies, cardiac and pulmonary stress tests, and blood gas analysis are also essential responsibilities.
