Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in critical care within the last 12 months License: Must have RRT credential and a WA license Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Critical care experience; pediatric experience preferred but not required Description: MUST HAVE CRITICAL CARE EXPERIENCE WITHIN LAST 12 MONTHS. Pediatric experience is preferred but not required. Open to training in pediatrics. Required to work all scheduled shifts; no scheduling requests outside of approved time off. Experience with all adult trauma and burn patients is required. Must be skilled in monitoring, ventilator management, and oxygen therapy. Experience with complex sleep disordered breathing is needed. Patient population includes those in various critical care units. The role involves care for patients of all ages, though the pediatric population is generally small. The facility sees many patients with tracheostomies and spinal cord injuries. Experience in a busy emergency department is beneficial. Ventilators in use will include various advanced models. The institution follows many therapist-driven protocols. Candidates should have experience in adult critical care and be comfortable with advanced procedures. Weekend work is required every other weekend. First-time travelers are accepted.
