Job Title: Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics

Shift: Day
Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (06:30 - 18:00)
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience within the last 12 months. Experience with all adult trauma and burns, including medically and neurologically complicated patients. Experience is preferred with pediatric patients but not required.
License: RRT credentialed and active state license required.
Certifications: BLS required.
Must-Have: Must have critical care experience within the last year. Required to work all scheduled shifts. Willingness to be trained in pediatrics preferred.
Description: The position requires experience in monitoring, ventilator management, and oxygen therapy.
Candidates should be familiar with trauma and adult ICU patients.
The patient population includes those from intensive care units dealing with trauma, neurology, burns, and medical cases.
The unit sees patients of all ages, although the pediatric population is generally small.
A busy emergency department handles ECLS transfers.
The expected workload includes managing 4-6 ventilators with some non-intubated patient care.
An understanding of airway management and emergency respiratory care is essential.
Special procedures performed in the facility may include lung protective ventilation, inhaled agents, and ECMO support.
Effective communication and teamwork skills are necessary for collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
Flexibility to accommodate various patient needs and float within the facility may be required.
