Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 18:30 - 06:45 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RRT Certifications: BLS, RRT, CRT Must-Have: Epic experience required Description: This position requires that the candidate can care for COVID patients. The facility is tobacco and fragrance-free. No return to office requests over 7 days will be approved. Candidates will be pre-screened by clinical personnel to determine clinical fit. If a candidate passes the clinical review and is within guidelines, they will be sent to the manager for a final decision. Clinical screens will be conducted on a case-by-case basis. Scheduling requests may not be approved. Holiday requests for time off are subject to review. Candidates must be available to work weekends as needed. Holiday coverage is also required as needed. There are no call requirements for this position. Travelers are expected to have experience in adult critical care and emergency department settings. Skills required include extubation, intubation assist, nasal airway placement and suctioning, oral airway placement, tracheostomy care, and management in critical care. Candidates will engage with various equipment like high flow nasal cannula, BiPAP, and CPAP. They should also have experience troubleshooting high-pressure alarms and weaning from mechanical ventilation. This position involves working in an interdisciplinary team to provide respiratory care. Additional patient diagnoses and special procedures may be encountered. The candidate must have experience with charting systems, preferably Epic. It is essential to comply with all vaccine requirements for COVID-19 and influenza, with exemptions available for medical and religious reasons.
