Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour; Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years preferred License: Washington State License in hand Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS, RRT Must-Have: Must be able to work independently within a level 3 NICU. Description: Position will float between units. Must be flexible with scheduling requirements. Weekends required every other week per collective bargaining agreement. No on-call shifts required. The expected nurse to patient ratios will depend on hospital acuity. All staff considered are variable for the unit, regardless of employment status. The manager will make every effort to maintain a consistent shift for the duration of the contract. Exact assignment is typically confirmed one to two weeks in advance. Must have skills and experience to work in a level 2 regional trauma center. All travelers should be prepared to float within the facility. Candidates will need to demonstrate proficiency in adult critical care. Must be skilled in aerosol setup, intubation assist, and respiratory management. Experience with neonatal transport and working in a NICU setting is essential. Ability to troubleshoot high pressure alarms is crucial. Candidates must have strong pulmonary hygiene skills and experience with mechanical ventilation. Additional skills required include knowledge of capillary blood gases and tracheostomy care. References required from prior employers covering recent work experience. Internal deadlines and compliance documents must be adhered to.
