Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory Care Specialty: Neuro Diagnostics Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: - Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience within the last 12 months. - Experience with all adult trauma and burns, medically and neurologically complicated cases is required. License: - RRT credentialed and active state license required. Certifications: - BLS required. Must-Have: - Critical care experience, preferably with pediatric patients but not required. - Experience with monitoring, ventilator management, and oxygen therapy. Description: The role requires taking care of patients in high-acuity settings, including critical care environments. The patient population includes adults and geriatrics with a variety of conditions. Candidates should be prepared to manage complex cases, including tracheostomy patients and those with spinal cord injuries. Experience with complex sleep-disordered breathing is beneficial. The facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center and may involve additional procedures and protocols. A collaborative approach with an interdisciplinary team is essential for patient care. All staff are expected to work all scheduled shifts, including weekends. The expected patient ratio is manageable, ensuring quality care during each shift. Candidates should be comfortable utilizing best practices and protocols in a fast-paced environment. Experience with electronic health records, specifically a major system, is advantageous, but not mandatory.
