Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience within the last 12 months. License: Washington state license required for RRT credentialed professionals. Certifications: BLS, RRT Must-Have: Critical care experience with adult trauma and burns. Description: MUST HAVE CRITICAL CARE EXPERIENCE WITHIN LAST 12 MONTHS. Pediatric experience is preferred but not required. Open to being trained in pediatrics. Required to work all scheduled shifts as the facility cannot accommodate scheduling requests outside of approved time off. Experience with all adult trauma and complicated medical and neurological conditions is required. The unit sees a high volume of tracheostomy patients and those with spinal cord injuries. A growing number of patients with complex sleep-disordered breathing are also present. Required skills include monitoring, ventilator management, and oxygen therapy. The patient populations include ICU, post-surgical, and neurological patients. The facility operates a busy emergency department with extracorporeal life support transfers. Bilingual support and interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy and pharmacists, are available. The environment is dynamic with a high patient turnover rate and a diverse patient diagnosis spectrum. Various advanced equipment, such as ventilators and invasive monitoring tools, are utilized. Special procedures include inhaled agents and lung protective ventilation techniques. Candidates should have detailed knowledge of various respiratory interventions and critical care protocols. Weekend shifts are mandatory, with required coverage every other weekend. Orientation hours will be provided prior to starting the position.
