Familiarity with medication carts and bar coding
Competence in medication administration
Ability to perform manual ventilation and intubation assistance
Experience with assisted ventilation and high-risk delivery scenarios
Knowledge of surfactant administration and NRP protocol
Skilled in T-piece ventilation
Experience with blood gas sampling, analysis, and interpretation
Competence in providing humidified therapy with aerosol masks, nasal cannula, and oxygen masks
Description:
As a Neonatal Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in various respiratory therapy techniques.
You will provide medicated aerosol therapy using small volume nebulizers.
Patient education for aerosol, metered-dose inhalers, and dry powder inhalers will be key responsibilities.
You will manage medication carts and adhere to bar coding protocols for medication administration.
Skills in suctioning and manual ventilation are essential, along with the ability to assist in intubation.
You will support assisted ventilation for high-risk deliveries and administer surfactants as per NRP protocols.
T-piece ventilation knowledge is required, as well as experience in blood gas sampling, analysis, and interpretation.
Finally, you will provide humidified therapy utilizing aerosol masks, nasal cannulas, and oxygen masks.
