Seven Healthcare are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist for a travel assignment in Akron, OH. This role is based in an all-adult, acute care Level 1 Trauma Center, where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment using advanced respiratory devices such as PB 980 and PB 840 ventilators, V60 noninvasive ventilator, Epoc handheld analyzer, and ParaPacPlus transport ventilator.

Key Responsibilities of the Respiratory Therapist- Confirm physician orders, assess for appropriateness, and ensure quality patient care
- Notify relevant staff of any unusual patient reactions during duties
- Explain treatment procedures to patients and address concerns
- Maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff
- Perform respiratory/pulmonary procedures per department policies
- Respond to emergencies and participate in cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- Maintain and set up equipment, administer medical gases, and stock supplies
- Participate in patient care teams and quality improvement programs
- Attend meetings, in-services, and conferences to stay current
Requirements of the Respiratory Therapist- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred, but Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with appropriate experience accepted
- Registry Eligible designation required if applying as a CRT
- Proficiency in Respiratory Care skills as required by regulatory agencies
