Seven Healthcare are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist for a travel assignment in Akron, OH. This role is situated within an adult, acute care Level 1 Trauma Center. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will join a highly specialized team dedicated to providing top-tier respiratory care using advanced equipment. Candidates with an RRT or CRT with registry eligibility and appropriate experience are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities of the Respiratory Therapist- Confirm physician orders, assess for appropriateness, and ensure quality patient care
- Notify medical staff of any unusual patient reactions during procedures
- Assess, document, and monitor patient tolerance and response to therapy
- Explain treatment procedures and address patient concerns
- Maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors
- Perform respiratory/pulmonary procedures according to department protocols
- Respond to emergencies and participate in cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- Set up and maintain equipment, administer medical gases and medications
- Participate in patient care teams and quality improvement programs
- Attend services, meetings, and maintain proficiency in Respiratory Care skills
Requirements of the Respiratory Therapist- Graduate of an A.M.A. or CoARC approved program for Respiratory Therapists
- Valid Ohio license (RCP) to practice Respiratory Care
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Population-specific competency and effective interaction skills
