Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - $2,200 per week in Saint Louis, MO

Description: Registered Respiratory Therapist will work night shifts, 3x12. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience. First-time travelers are accepted. Weekend coverage will be required every third weekend. Candidates will be expected to work in ICUs and on floors. The position requires experience with airway management devices and suctioning. Candidates should be skilled in administering medications such as Albuterol, Atrovent, and inhaled steroids. Ventilator management experience including BiPAP and CPAP is necessary. Interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs) is required. The role necessitates strong patient care abilities regarding acute and chronic respiratory diseases. Candidates should be comfortable managing mechanically ventilated patients. Physical stamina is essential as the job involves walking long distances. Additional responsibilities may include precepting respiratory therapy students as this is a teaching facility. All travelers will float within the service line to meet facility needs. The working environment is described as a short-term acute care facility with a total of 1259 staffed beds. The focus is on providing high-quality respiratory care to adults and geriatric patients. Strong candidates will demonstrate proficiency in required skills and certifications.
