Overview

Rotech Healthcare Inc., a national leader in home medical equipment and respiratory solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Registered Nurse (RN), or Respiratory Care Practitioner (RC) to serve as a Ventilator Patient Specialist in Northeast Massachusetts. This critical role focuses on managing complex ventilation patients, primarily in pediatric and ALS care settings.

Position Details

Location: Methuen, Massachusetts
Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00am 5:00pm
On-Call: 1 week every seven weeks
Territory Coverage: Northeast Massachusetts

Key Responsibilities

    • Manage ventilation patients in pediatric and ALS care settings
    • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments
    • Provide specialized patient and caregiver education
    • Set up and monitor highly technical respiratory equipment
    • Maintain meticulous documentation
    • Provide on-call consultations
    • Support equipment download and tracking
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation:

    • $45 $50/hour depending on experience
    • Mileage reimbursement
    • Sign-On Bonus:
      • $2,500 after 60 days
      • Additional $2,500 after 180 days

Qualifications

Required:

    • Active RRT, RN, or RC licensure
    • Valid driver's license
    • Pediatric and/or ALS Ventilation experience
    • Proficiency with equipment download software
    • Strong communication skills
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
    • Deductive problem-solving skills

Preferred:

    • Home respiratory care experience
    • Advanced technical equipment knowledge
    • Experience with Care Orchestrator, Astral software
    • Continuous learning orientation

Physical Demands

    • Lift and transport patient equipment
    • Sitting, standing, walking
    • Close vision for documentation
    • Potential exposure to medical pathogens
    • Comply with N95 mask fit testing requirements
