Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - $2,218 per week in Fredericksburg, VA

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist - NICU/Adult Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT-NICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: VA License (or proof of application for VA license with another state license) Certifications: BLS, CRT, ACLS (must obtain within 90 days), NRP preferred Must-Have: - Strong respiratory experience required, including airway management and medication administration - Knowledge of ABGs, oxygen therapy, suction, pulmonary toileting, BiPAP, CPAP, and nebulizers - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Emergency Department (ED), and adult ICU experience preferred Description: RRT NICU/Adult requires the ability to float to the Emergency Room and Adult ICU Stepdown units. NICU assignments will vary based on patient acuity. This is not a NICU-only position; rotations to adult units, floors, ED, Intensive Care Units, and pediatric units are required. The night shift position necessitates the ability to provide aerosol, bronchial hygiene, and lung inflation therapies. Responsibilities include arterial blood gas draw and analysis, CPAP/BiPAP implementation and management. Experience in adult and neonatal intensive care, emergency department, and level 2 trauma is preferred but not mandatory. Attendance at monthly department meetings is required if the candidate is working. If not, candidates must read the meeting minutes and acknowledge understanding. This position requires experience in adult critical care and community hospital settings. Weekend shifts are mandatory every other weekend and on holidays. On-call shifts may be required, with a total of 3 per scheduling period. Candidates must be willing to float within their scope of practice to meet facility needs. Preferred ventilators include Servo U, Servo Air, and Servo N. The candidate may be expected to serve as Team Lead during shifts. A commitment to safety and quality initiatives is necessary.
