Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory Therapy Specialty: Respiratory Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 year License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, RRT or CRT Must-Have: NICU experience Description: Respiratory Therapists are respected by all other disciplines. The staff is friendly and collaborative. Successful candidates will be able to work independently. Clinical judgment is essential for this role. Close collaboration with physicians is expected. The department serves a diverse patient population ranging from neonates to geriatrics. The facility covers all areas including inpatient, outpatient, emergency room, rehabilitation, and sleep lab. The role involves working with various RT equipment including Airvo, PB 840 Vent, PB 980 Vent, Hamilton C1, MR1, and V-60 Respironics. Rotating weekend and holiday shifts are required. The facility allows for some flexibility in scheduling, with set shifts of 0600-1830 and 1800-0630. Unit-specific orientation consists of three 12-hour shifts. Additional time off requests should be limited. Emergency and trauma care experience is beneficial. The position requires adherence to specific certifications and state licensing. Candidates must have the ability to handle various clinical scenarios across different units and care settings.
