Key Responsibilities of the Respiratory Therapist

Provide respiratory care for all patients throughout the facility
Perform ventilator management, including IPPV/NIPPV
Work in diverse settings such as ED, ICU, PCU, and general medical floors
Collaborate with respiratory leadership and healthcare teams
Utilize EMR systems, specifically EPIC, for accurate record-keeping
Float between facilities as needed within the designated region

Requirements of the Respiratory Therapist

RRT or CRT certification
Current North Carolina licensure
BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications
Minimum 2 years of experience in Respiratory Therapy (Resource Team)
Experience with IPPV/NIPPV ventilator systems
