Job Title: Respiratory Therapist (RRT-NICU) Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT-NICU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour or Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Level 3 NICU, Level 2 Adult ICU License: Valid state license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CRT, NRP, PALS, RRT Must-Have: - Level 3 NICU or Level 4 NICU experience is a hard requirement - Experience in Neuro Trauma ICU is required Description: The role of the Respiratory Therapist involves providing respiratory care to patients in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Staff will be expected to float between departments as needed, so flexibility is required. The position requires weekend work every other weekend as per the collective bargaining agreement. The expected patient ratios will be assessed based on hospital acuity. All staff must be aware that they are considered variable staff for the unit, including full-time employees, and assignments may change. It is essential for candidates to possess experience working with a variety of respiratory equipment and handling high-risk situations. Candidates should have strong skills in critical care techniques and be familiar with advanced respiratory procedures. Compliance with working schedules, including holidays, is mandatory. References covering one year of experience in relevant roles will be required prior to the start of employment. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities. Refusal to float may result in termination of assignment.
