Key Responsibilities of the Respiratory Therapist

Perform breathing treatments and vent management
Assist in intubations
Draw and run ABG samples
Conduct EKGs for outpatient and inpatient settings
Provide coverage in assigned respiratory treatment areas

Requirements of the Respiratory Therapist

Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) via NBRC
ACLS, BLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), STABLE, PALS certifications
Experience in ER, ICU, and Inpatient Adult care required
