Job Title: Respiratory Therapist - NICU Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT-NICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in NICU or PICU required License: Must possess valid state license prior to start date Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NBRC RRT, NRP, PALS (preferred) Must-Have: Experience in Labor and Delivery (L&D) required Children's Hospital experience within the last 3 years required Floating between NICU and Pediatric Acute Care required Description: The position requires a respiratory therapist with NICU experience. Candidates must be comfortable working every other weekend. First-time travelers are accepted for this role. Certification requirements include ACLS, BLS, NBRC RRT, and NRP. PALS certification is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates will primarily work in L&D. The ability to float between NICU and Pediatric Acute Care is essential. Candidates with a strong background in Pediatrics are encouraged to apply. This position may involve performing special procedures and using specialized equipment. Candidates must be able to manage tracheostomy care and ventilation weaning. Candidates should have experience with arterial blood gas interpretation. Knowledge of various respiratory therapies and medications is a plus. Strong clinical skills and the ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team are required.
