Key Responsibilities of the Respiratory Therapist - NICU/PEDS
  • Provide respiratory care for neonate to pediatric patients throughout the children's hospital.
  • Utilize IPPV/NIPPV ventilators effectively.
  • Collaborate with respiratory leadership to support patient care.
  • Adhere to departmental protocols and patient safety guidelines.

Requirements of the Respiratory Therapist - NICU/PEDS
  • 2 years of respiratory therapy experience in a dedicated pediatric unit within the past 5 years.
  • Current NC Licensure.
  • RRT or CRT certified.
  • Valid BLS, PALS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
  • Experience in ED, PICU, Peds CVICU, Peds PCU, and general med floors.
