Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - $2,560 per week in Greenville, SC

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 19:00 - 07:30 Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience License: RRT license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: ECMO Specialist experience, EPIC experience Description: Shift is from 19:00 to 07:30 for three nights. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend, but this may change based on need. Floating between units is required. Experience with both pediatric and adult patients is needed. Candidates must have ECMO Specialist experience. Patient diagnoses include post-cardiac surgery, cardiogenic shock, traumatic injury, ARDS/respiratory failure, and other critical acute illnesses requiring ECMO support. Special procedures include managing ECMO devices during bedside cannulation and repositioning procedures. Special equipment used includes Cardiohelp ECMO console, Centrimag ECMO console, Cardio Quip heater-cooler unit, and glucometer for point-of-care testing. Travelers will work alongside ICU RNs and RTs. Responsibilities include device management in the ICU, following ECMO order sets and provider team directions. Travelers will work with both pediatric patients in the PICU and adult patients in the CVICU requiring ECMO support for various critical conditions. Experience in care of ventilated patients and management of arterial lines, central lines, and blood product administration is essential. Proficiency in interpreting arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias is necessary. Workers will engage in infection prevention and compliance with isolation precautions. Team members will follow nurse-driven ECMO protocols and massive transfusion protocols as needed. Knowledge in managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure is required. Experience in post-cardiac surgery and trauma management is vital. All staff must comply with floating requirements as requested based on census concerns.
