Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - $2,668 per week in Shreveport, LA

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory Therapy Specialty: Respiratory Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hours Nights Hours per Shift: 36 guaranteed Experience: Minimum of 2 years required; must have completed at least one 13-week assignment. License: State Licensure required Certifications: BLS required NRP required ACLS preferred PALS preferred National Accreditation through NBRC required Registered Respiratory Therapist highly preferred; CRT accepted Must-Have: Comfortable with attending high-risk deliveries and supporting Level 3 NICU/PICU. Description: Will work through multiple campuses within a 20-25 minute driving distance. Will provide care in emergency departments, intensive care units, stepdown units, and medical telemetry. Must be experienced with high-risk deliveries and capable of intubating neonates if necessary. Responsibilities include airway and ventilator management, ABG puncture and analysis, non-invasive ventilation, and responding to code blue situations. Experience with inhaled medication administration, including nitric oxide, is required. Familiarity with various respiratory care equipment is essential. Flexibility to float throughout different campuses during the contract is required. Expect to work in a rotation schedule of 36/48 hours with holiday expectations as assigned. Weekend rotations will occur every other weekend. Routine call shifts may be required with a minimum of two hours. Transport responsibilities could involve both adult and pediatric patients. Additional call may be available on a voluntary basis. Support within the department includes a director, assistant director, shift supervisors, and team leads. Charting will be conducted using specific software. Additional training for transport equipment and procedures will be provided.
