Key Responsibilities of the Respiratory Therapist - NICU
  • Perform and interpret tests and procedures to assess and manage patient care.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members.
  • Work autonomously across various clinical settings to deliver respiratory care protocols.
  • Administer respiratory therapies including artificial airways and mechanical ventilation.
  • Provide aerosolized medications and oxygen therapy to patients.

Requirements of the Respiratory Therapist - NICU
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • CPR-AHA NRP certification required.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of related work experience.
  • NBRC Verification and BLS certification required.
  • Cannot reside within 50 miles of the facility; no local travelers accepted.
  • Must be separated from Beth Israel Lahey Health for six months to be considered.
