Description
Job Title: Respiratory Care Practitioner Therapist Reg - Generalist
Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
Specialty: RRT-NICU
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Night and Day Shift
Hours per Shift: 12 hours
Experience: 2-3 years with at least 1 year of PICU or Pediatric CVICU assistance required
License: RRT credential, pending license accepted
Certifications: BLS required, PALS preferred
Must-Have:
CRT not accepted.
Experience in PICU required.
No travel experience required.
Experience with bi-level positive airway pressure (BiPAP), bubble CPAP, CPAP, extubation, high-frequency jet ventilator, high-frequency oscillator, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), intubation assist, nitric oxide, oscillating ventilator, pediatric critical care, pressure/volume ventilator, synchronized intermittent mandatory ventilation (SIMV), suctioning (ETT, NT), and tracheostomy care/management is required.
Ability to troubleshoot high-pressure alarms and wean from mechanical ventilation is necessary.
Description:
Looking for a qualified candidate with experience in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
Candidate will work 36 hours a week with 3 twelve-hour shifts.
Every other weekend is required.
There is a 50/50 rotation between day and night shifts depending on department needs.
Rotation between days and nights may occur within the same week.
We will attempt to limit this unless requested.
Previous charge experience is not required.
Local candidates may have a rate differential based on proximity.
All candidates must provide two professional references verified from the last three places of employment.
This position involves working with a patient population from neonates to adults.
Experience in a diverse range of pediatric diagnoses is essential.
Preferred experience includes pedi CVICU.
The ability to provide interdisciplinary support is necessary.
