o Adult RT- draw ABGs, assist with intubations, BIPAP, CPAP, Nebs, ventilator management, inhalers
o NICU RT- Intubate, ventilator management, delivery attendance, nitrate oxide admin, BIPAP, CPAP, nebs, etc.
Education required:

Support on the Unit:
o CNA (Ratio):
o Receptionist/HUC: 24/7
o Charge nurse: free floating
o Hospitalist: 24/7
o Neonatologist in house 24/7
o NICU RT Dept, PT, OT, ST dedicated to NICU
o Telemetry monitoring:

o EMR: EPIC
o IV pumps: Alaris
o Medication dispensing: Pyxis
o Capsule Neuron
Floating: If yes, where?
o The NICU RTs can float between Allis and Sinai- in rotation

o Two day Orientation

o Weekend rotation: Every 3rd Weekend
