Job Title: Respiratory Therapist - NICU Specialist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT-NICU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour or Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years of recent ECMO experience in a pediatric hospital License: RRT, pending state license acceptable Certifications: BLS, PALS, RRT, RRT-NPS Must-Have: Pediatric ECMO experience Experience working with the ECMO pump Preferred previous charge experience Required experience with a charting system Description: The manager seeks candidates with pediatric ECMO experience. Candidates should possess 2+ years of recent ECMO experience in a pediatric setting. Experience working with the ECMO pump is necessary. A registered respiratory therapist (RRT) credential is required, and a pending state license is acceptable. BLS certification is mandatory. The ideal candidate should have preferred previous charge experience. Experience working with a charting system is required. The role involves caring for critically ill patients who require respiratory support. Candidates should have experience in medical, neonatal, and pediatric intensive care settings. Key responsibilities include operating ECMO equipment and assisting in the management of respiratory care. The position requires active participation in interdisciplinary support teams. Preferred skills include the use of various respiratory care techniques and equipment. Additional experience in trauma care as well as familiarity with pulmonary diagnoses will be considered beneficial.
