Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - $3,154 per week in Albuquerque, NM

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist – NICU Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT-NICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in NICU/PICU required; both experiences preferred. License: State Respiratory Care License Certifications: RRT, BLS, ACLS, NRP Must-Have: Must work 2 out of 3 holiday bundles (Thanksgiving & the day after, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, New Year's Eve & New Year's Day). No locals within 100 miles. COVID vaccine is optional. Description: This role involves working within a Level I Trauma and Teaching environment focusing on pediatric and critical care. The average daily census consists of 6-10 ventilated patients. Responsibilities include providing respiratory care and pulmonary hygiene. Experience with endotracheal tube placements and suctioning, extubation, and tracheostomy care is essential. Candidates should have skills in ABG interpretation and mechanical ventilation weaning. Floating to adult respiratory units may be necessary to meet facility needs. Weekend shifts will be required as needed by the unit, and the expectation is not to work more than three consecutive weekends. There is a need for familiarity with specific ventilators such as puritan bennett and drager. Strong experience in both NICU and PICU settings is critical for success in this role. Travelers should be self-rated 4 on high-frequency jet ventilator (HFJV) and high-frequency oscillator (HFOV). Please ensure that all requirements are met before applying.
