Job Details
- Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Location: 454 McDowell Street, Welch, WV 24801
- Shift: 8-hour shifts (5 days/week)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36–40 hours per week
- Pay Rate:$40–$43/hour (Negotiable)
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and treat patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders.
- Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and other respiratory treatments.
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP machines, and other respiratory care equipment.
- Perform respiratory assessments, arterial blood gas (ABG) collection, and other diagnostic procedures as needed.
- Respond to emergency situations, including rapid response and code blue events.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Accurately document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes in the electronic medical record.
- Educate patients and their families on respiratory conditions, therapies, and home care instructions.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Active West Virginia Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) License
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Strong clinical and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
