100 mile radius rule - ALL SUBMISSIONS MUST INCLUDE A COPY OF CANDIDATE'S UNEXPIRED DRIVER'S LICENSE LICENSING HITS MUST BE DISCLOSED AT TIME OF SUBMISSION R# treatments per day: Total Inpatient Beds: 127. Department typically staffs 7 RT's during the day, 5 RT's at night. As many as 40-70 treatments per therapist. Certs STABLE, ACLS, BLS, Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) via NBRC, or RRT preferred, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), PALS Types of patients (adults, peds, and neonates?): Adults mainly, however they do have a pediatric inpatient unit and a family birthing unit (no c-sections). What areas do they cover (Inpatient, Outpatient, ER, Rehab, Sleep Lab, etc.): All Inpatient areas, ED, as well as inpatient EKG's, outpatient EKG's and outpatient bronchs in a procedural setting. May be called to initiate CPAP on an infant. They do have a Sleep Lab, Pulmonary and Cardiac Rehab but do not require travelers to cover those areas. Experience or 'Must have' skills: ER, ICU, Inpatient Adult experience required. Peds experience preferred. Willing to train on Peds. Job Duties (ie: Do RTs draw ABGs, perform EKGs, etc.): Breathing treatments, vent management, ABG's draw and run samples, EKGs for outpatient and inpatient. Core RT's can place Art lines. They would cover EKG's for the same areas they are assigned to for respiratory treatments. Can have as many as 8-9 vents in ICU at a time. They use a points system to assign areas but will try to break up areas evenly. Travelers will not be required to do any critical care transporting outside of the facility. Are RTs Required to be able to Intubate Independently or only to assist?: Assist in intubation only. Respiratory Manager/Supervisor/Lead Therapist?: There is always a lead therapist or supervisor they can go to for questions. Shifts & Scheduling (*Would they ever be the only RT in-house?) : 0645-1915, 1845-0715. Set schedules. Manager makes the schedule out 4 weeks at a time. Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend. (Would be open to travelers wanting to work only weekends.) Holiday Requirement: If the holiday falls on their scheduled day to work, they will work it. Only holidays are Christmas and New Years. Call or standby call requirement?: No What is call response time: No Floating Requirements: Within facility only. Scrub Color/Dress Code: Any color professional scrubs, Professional appearance, no long nails. Clean shaven for men. RT Equipment (Brand for Vents, Cpap, Bipap, High Flow): Puritan Bennett 840, Hamilton C1 (can function as invasive, non-invasive and high flow capability), Avea, Bipap v60, Vapotherm for high flow. Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Open ICU, 2 pulmonologists on staff, Hospitalist in house 24/7. They have a wide variety of physician residents and they may intubate from time to time. Department Specific Orientation: First day is general orientation, second day is some class room orientation and modules. As soon as they complete modules they will start shadowing with a preceptor. Typically 3 days shadowing. All travelers start on inpatient units and will branch out from there. Additional Notes: Facility will do a second interview. Will also assess skills of traveler once on site to facilitate appropriate assignments.
