Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Rehabilitation – Tyler, TX 75701

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Tyler, Texas

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Patient ratio 1:7. Float to long-term acute care or other units as needed to manage medical-surgical patients. Weekend coverage required (4 weekend shifts per contract).

Highlights:

• Work in a dedicated inpatient rehabilitation facility specializing in stroke, orthopedic surgeries, brain injuries, and debilitated patients requiring comprehensive rehabilitation services
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including physicians, therapists, and support staff to develop individualized care plans
• Access to state-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment and advanced therapy facilities
• Comprehensive support services including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and interpretation services
• Care for diverse patient populations including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics in a 48-bed facility with a daily census of approximately 35 patients
• 70-day assignment with 12 hours of orientation and one pre-approved time off period

Requirements:

• Active RN license (state or compact license required at time of submission)
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience preferred
• Travel nursing experience required
• Experience with Epic charting system required
• LTAC experience preferred; previous charge experience preferred
• Proficiency in rehabilitation nursing skills including CVA care, tracheostomy management, wound care, spinal cord injury care, traumatic brain injury care, and total joint replacement care
• Must not reside in the following Texas counties: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris
