Description

American Traveler is hiring a Rehab RN for an inpatient position requiring a NM or compact RN license and at least one year of recent rehab nursing experience.

Details

• Inpatient rehab unit within a hospital setting, also covering Swing Bed and Med/Surg units as needed
• Patient ratio of 1:5 with 10 beds on the unit
• Day shift schedule from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Floating required to Swing, Med/Surg, and Stepdown units based on facility need and RN scope
• On-call required, frequency varies depending on census
• Uses MedHost EMR
• Any color scrubs permitted

Requirements

• Active RN license (NM or Compact) required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred
• Minimum 1 year of recent rehab nursing experience required
• Associate's degree required
• No certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Fingerprinting required for all New Mexico travelers

Additional Information

• Provide general rehab nursing care in collaboration with the therapy team
• Evaluate, plan, implement, and document nursing care for assigned patients
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures
• Administer medications and perform patient tests within RN scope of practice
• Promote patient independence through care goal setting and patient/family education
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not considered
• RTO requests must be less than one week
• Not eligible if previously employed as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years
