Description

American Traveler is hiring a Rehab RN for a 13-week inpatient assignment requiring NM or compact RN licensure and at least 1 year of recent rehab experience.

Details

• Inpatient rehab unit with Swing Bed and Med/Surg floating as needed
• Day shift schedule, 6:30a-7p
• Patient ratio of 1:5 on a 10-bed unit
• Floating required to Swing, Med/Surg, and Stepdown units based on facility need and RN scope
• Call required, varying with census
• Uses MedHost EMR

Requirements

• Active NM or compact RN license
• BLS certification required
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred
• Minimum 1 year of recent rehab nursing experience required
• Certifications must not expire within first 30 days of assignment start
• No employment gaps of 90+ days in the past 12 months
• Fingerprinting required for all NM travelers

Additional Information

• Provide general rehab nursing care in collaboration with therapy staff
• Evaluate, plan, implement, and document nursing care for assigned patients
• Assist physicians during exams and procedures and administer medications within RN scope
• Promote patient independence through education on conditions, medications, and self-care
• Any scrub color permitted
• RTO requests must be less than 1 week
• Local candidates within 50 miles will not be considered
• Travelers who worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years will not be considered
