Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Inpatient Rehab unit requiring rehab experience and a VA or compact RN license for a night shift assignment.

Details

• Inpatient Rehab unit with 35 beds
• Patient ratios of 5-7:1
• Techs available per census, typically 2-4
• Equipment includes vitals machines, Baxter IV pumps, SCDs, and bladder scanners
• Documentation via Meditech
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, every other weekend
• May float to other Med Surg departments

Requirements

• Active RN license (VA or Compact) required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience, with rehab experience required
• Med Surg experience preferred
• Experience with medication administration including IVs, PICC, and PEG tube administration
• Experience with bladder scans, trach care, tube feeding, foley catheter care, bladder irrigation, and blood administration
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team including Nursing, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Physiatrists, Physician Assistants, and Neuropsychologists to support patient functional improvement
• Dress code requires navy blue or white solid scrubs
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
