Exciting Opportunity for an RN in Zanesville!

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Registered Nurse in the Renal Med-Surg unit! This is an incredible chance to care for patients with acute and chronic kidney conditions while working in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Job Overview:

• Unit: 21-Bed Renal/Medical-Surgical
• Shift: 36 hrs/week | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every other weekend required
• Contract Type: Travel/Temporary

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult renal and medical-surgical patients.
• Manage patients with acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, and post-dialysis needs.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, ensuring timely interventions.
• Collaborate with nephrologists and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Float as needed within the scope to similar Med-Surg units, including Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED boarders.

Qualifications:

• Active Ohio RN license (required at submission).
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum 3 years of recent Med-Surg and Telemetry experience (renal experience strongly preferred).
• Proven ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips.
• Competency test required on Day 1; failure results in immediate contract termination.
• Epic EMR proficiency (mandatory, no training provided).
• Lack of Epic proficiency results in immediate termination.

Additional Details:

• No on-call requirement.
• Must demonstrate adaptability, efficiency, and strong critical thinking in a high-volume setting.
• Epic proficiency must be clearly documented in submission.
• Candidates must meet all requirements at submission.
