Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with ED and critical care experience for a day shift travel assignment at a full-service hospital in Hickory, NC.

Details

  • Located on the 1st floor Respiratory Therapy department of a 355-bed Duke Lifepoint hospital
  • Hospital services include a Brain Center, Cancer Center, Heart Center, Lung Center, Level 3 NICU, 32-bed ED, 29-bed inpatient rehab, and a 15-bed surgical suite
  • Serves all patient populations including adult, pediatric, and neonatal
  • Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Weekends on an alternating schedule
  • On-call shifts are possible
  • No floating required
  • Equipment includes Servo-I, Drager Evita 500, PB 840, Hamilton T-1 & MR-1 ventilators, V-60 BiPAP, ResMed CPAPs, Optiflow high-flow, MetaNebs, Vest, and Siemens RapidPoint 500e blood gas analyzers
  • EMR: Cerner
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
  • NC RRT license required (registry required); license required if applicable
  • Minimum Associate's Degree in Respiratory Care
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in ED and critical care (preferred)
  • Nursery experience preferred
  • AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
  • Candidates must reside 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
  • Social Security number required for consideration
  • Date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provides respiratory therapy services across a full range of diagnoses and treatments
  • Must be able to work effectively both as part of a team and independently
  • Preferred scrub color is gray or black; any solid color is acceptable — no prints
  • Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
  • Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
