Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week day shift assignment at an acute care facility in Arizona.

Details

  • Acute care hospital setting in an inpatient Respiratory Therapy department
  • Day shift, 12-hour shifts (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
  • Every other weekend (EOW) required
  • 13-week contract
  • Charting via Epic EMR
  • On-call coverage outside of standard scheduled hours may be required per department and/or facility policy
  • Flexible hours before and after standard shifts and overtime may occasionally be required

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Education Program (CoARC, JRCRTE, or CAAHEP)
  • Active CRT or RRT credential via NBRC
  • Active and unrestricted state license (license required if applicable); pending licenses will not be accepted
  • Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS, PALS, and NRP; pending certifications will not be accepted
  • Prior experience with Epic EMR preferred
  • Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility; a valid driver's license is used to confirm permanent address
  • Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
  • Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include patient assessments, care plan development, implementation, evaluation, and revision of therapy plans as needed
  • Performs diagnostic testing including ABGs, PFTs, EKGs, cardiac monitoring, bronchoscopy, and pulse oximetry
  • Transports patients within the hospital or between facilities
  • Candidates must be physically present in state for the week of orientation, even if initial modules are completed remotely
  • Candidates may not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year; candidates employed PRN through outside firms will be considered
