Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience for a night shift hospital assignment, requiring prior travel experience.

Details

• Hospital-based Respiratory Therapy unit
• Adult critical care and Emergency Department settings
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (18:30-07:00)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Epic charting system preferred
• Ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, and weaning from mechanical ventilation
• Airway management including extubation, tracheostomy care, and suctioning
• Medication delivery via aerosol setups, MDIs, and various respiratory medications
• Oxygen therapy including High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Completion of at least one prior travel assignment required
• CRT certification not accepted; RRT required
• BLS and PALS certifications required
• GA or Compact RT license required if applicable
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, Trauma Level I, and Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Experience with ventilator troubleshooting and high pressure alarm management
• Experience with nitric oxide (INo) therapy preferred

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory care and neuro diagnostics support across adult critical care and emergency department settings
• Administer a range of respiratory medications and manage airway devices
• Perform ventilator management and weaning protocols for critically ill patients
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, which must be finalized at time of submission
• Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within assignment period
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Former Piedmont employees (perm, per diem, or FCSS) must be separated from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before applying as a traveler
• Full compliance required to start on time
