Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Respiratory Therapist position is located in the Loma Linda area. This role involves administering diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients with cardiopulmonary dysfunction, providing care in general and critical care environments. The role requires advanced skills in assessment and respiratory care services within specific age groups, with responsibilities including recording treatment data and performing related duties to support patient outcomes.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Associate's degree from an accredited respiratory therapy program; Califormia Respiratory Care Practitioner License; Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) through an American Heart Association provider training program. A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience is preferred.

- Float: Float rotation may be required to adult hospitals including East Campus and Surgical Hospital.
- Additional Information: The Respiratory Therapist will assemble and troubleshoot patient and machine equipment, perform blood draws, assess patients, and calibrate equipment. Effective communication, critical thinking, independent work with minimal supervision, and attention to detail are essential skills. The role involves working under pressure, leading and collaborating with teams, and managing multiple assignments efficiently.
