Registered Respiratory Therapist - Night Shift

Schedule

This is a night shift position, working 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for an immediate opening. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in adult critical care or emergency department settings. This role requires expertise in various respiratory procedures and familiarity with a variety of respiratory equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive respiratory care to adult and geriatric patients.
• Administer treatments and procedures as per established protocols.
• Assist in the management of ventilated patients and participate in weaning and extubation processes.
• Utilize advanced equipment such as BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula.
• Interpret arterial blood gases and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Collaborate with medical teams and participate in rapid response initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Experience with Cerner charting system is preferred.
• Valid Maryland or Compact state license is required at the time of submission.
• Prior charge experience is an advantage.
